Heat Pump Based Dehumidification
Beginning July 6th, we will be installing a hybrid dehumidification system in an ice arena setting. It is a double slab formation with common area central. We have designed the system to function with 22 tons capacity in each of the ice shed areas. The function has both heating and cooling capabilities with compressors mounted approximately 20′ in the air. The design delivers 10,000 cfm for staged rotational flow within ice shed area but outside of the ice environment. The system will allow the ice to function as it should without drawing from the resources of the central refrigeration system thus conditioning the entire air volume without affecting the ice surface or condition. The system has been designed to add comfort heat to the facility when applied with the much broader spectrum system proposed. Watch for the pictures and step by step installation to follow.
