Net Zero Is Easier Than You Think
We recently put together a proposal for the supply of a Geothermal Ice Rink in a large custom home. The rink is only 2400 square feet, but it still requires a significant tonnage in refrigeration in order to achieve the indoor requirements and quality of ice.
In the old days we would simply put a GEOIce 50 Ton unit in place with 2 – 25 ton stage compressors, knowing that the heat pump would operate without any hiccups and switch between stages to ensure longevity and equal hours of operation are applied to each of the compressors.
DSB has been working hard with Stan Marco of #Geosmartenergy in Cambridge Ontario to improve on the efficiencies of our GEOIce geothermal ice rink solutions. Stan has worked tirelessly his whole career on improvements to the heat pumps he manufactures. Our combined experience delivers incredible results, but the excitement in this article is the fact that our new combined system that applies heat pumps in a daisy chain to act as one unit whether it be 2 tons or 300 tons made up of any configuration heat pumps is now taking North America by storm. Then add in Solar and Wind generation to offset your electricity needs within the single application and you are able to arrive at a Net Zero position very quickly.
